Well, 2007 was our first year and we were not disappointed! A lot of build up and exchange of e-mails before-hand engaged our competitive spirits.

There were some very different construction methods employed – Hew opened the Argos catalogue and bought the first plastic tractor he saw. It turned out to be one of the funniest things we saw all day. Ali did a very basic picture and e-mailed it to me – I bought two kids mountain-bikes and welded them together for him! Morgan turned up with two very small kid’s bikes from the tip and a winning smile – and then my father took over! Rich pilfered as much as he could from work, including four wheels and an armchair – these he joined with a ladder and some wood. Stu cobbled something together using wood, some small wheels and a plastic garden chair – it exhibited incredible steering (which was far too sharp for him) and a propensity for flipping – Ace!! And I built a coffin and bolted three wheels to it!

The event was hilarious so we did it again in 2008. Seeing as I have completed the website almost 18 months after the first event, I can't remember much about it! Better to see the 2008 page as that's better! 2008
